Domaine Jean Marc Roulot Bourgogne Blanc 2017 Bouteille (75cl) ELA
The 2017 Domaine Jean-Marc Roulot Bourgogne Blanc is a white Burgundy wine crafted by Domaine Jean-Marc Roulot from Chardonnay. This cuvée typically blends grapes originating in equal parts from Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. The estate's vines are farmed organically. The Bourgogne Blanc is aged in both oak barrels and stainless steel vats; the estate's whites generally spend 11 months on the lees in barrels before completing their aging in vats. For 2017, the estate describes an elegant and dynamic vintage, despite localized losses on certain Bourgogne Blanc parcels in the spring.

Histoire du domaine
The Roulot family has been based in Meursault since the late 18th century. The estate, in its modern form, developed primarily from the 1950s onwards under the leadership of Guy Roulot, born in 1929. His marriage to Geneviève Coche coincided with the expansion of the family’s wine-growing estate. Guy Roulot played a key role in promoting the separate bottling of wines from several ‘lieux-dits’ in Meursault. Following his death in 1982, the estate was temporarily managed by a succession of winemakers. His son Jean-Marc Roulot, who was then pursuing a career as an actor in Paris, finally took over the estate in January 1989. He continued to expand the vineyard and converted the vines to organic farming from 1999 onwards. The estate is now run by Jean-Marc Roulot, with Éric Bodin as cellar master and head of winemaking at his side.
