Domaine Gérard Mugneret Vosne Romanee 2001 Bouteille (75cl)
The Domaine Gérard Mugneret Vosne-Romanée 2001 is a red Burgundy wine crafted entirely from 100% Pinot Noir in the Vosne-Romanée village appellation. For this vintage, the estate produced a single village Vosne-Romanée, blending grapes from several climats within the appellation. This cuvée thus reflects a comprehensive expression of the estate's vineyards in Vosne, which at the time spanned 2.5 hectares across nine climats.

Histoire du domaine
The estate’s origins date back to Eugène Mugneret, who acquired the first plots whilst working as a timber merchant. His son René was the first in the family to devote himself professionally to viticulture and developed the estate’s client base. Gérard Mugneret, born in 1948, succeeded him after his brother Jean had chosen a career in the Air Force. He produced his first wines under his own name in 1973, whilst part of the production continued to bear the René Mugneret label until 1986. The winery equipment was modernised in the early 1990s, notably with the introduction of a pneumatic press. The vineyard then expanded through the acquisition of plots such as Les Gravains in Savigny-lès-Beaune and Les Charmes in Chambolle-Musigny. After a career in industry, Pascal Mugneret returned to the estate in 2004 and produced his first vintages there in 2005. Under his leadership, herbicides were phased out in 2005, synthetic products in 2010, and practices inspired by biodynamics were introduced from 2011 onwards. Pascal Mugneret is now at the helm of EARL Gérard Mugneret and oversees both vineyard management and winemaking.
