Le Domaine du Vicomte Liger-Belair La Romanée 2008 is a red Burgundy Grand Cru from the La Romanée climat in Vosne-Romanée. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, it hails from a vintage whose harvest began on September 27, following a pre-harvest green selection to remove damaged or insufficiently ripe grapes; the yield was roughly 30% below normal. The estate completed its biodynamic conversion across all its vineyards in 2008. Jancis Robinson awards it 17,5+/20 and suggests a drinking window from 2015 to 2022. Critics highlight a wine that is dense yet ethereal, exceptionally fresh and nervy, driven by bitter cherry notes, a sinuous texture, and a classy finish.
