Histoire du domaine
Cécile Tremblay comes from a family that owned vineyards in Vosne-Romanée, whose land had historically been leased out. In 2002, when three out of six hectares were due to come to the end of their lease, she took over these vineyards herself. She officially established Domaine Cécile Tremblay on 1 January 2003, at the age of 25, starting with four hectares of family vineyards. The first vintage was characterised by very low yields, whilst 2004 was marked by hail. The estate has cultivated its vines according to organic principles since its inception; Cécile Tremblay states that she transitioned these practices towards biodynamics in 2016, without seeking certification. In 2022, she took over further family-owned plots whose leases had also come to an end. The estate now comprises 7 hectares spread across eleven Côte de Nuits appellations. Cécile Tremblay is the owner and personally oversees both the vineyard work and winemaking decisions.
Aux Murgers
Aux Murgers is a climat officially classified as a Premier Cru of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, located in the northern part of the communal vineyard towards Vosne-Romanée. It occupies an east-facing slope, between approximately 250 and 270 meters of altitude, with a relatively gentle slope. The brown, calcareous, and locally gravelly soil is described as quite deep and mixed with stones. It rests on Calcaire rose de Prémeaux.

Histoire de la parcelle
Aux Murgers belongs to the regulatory list of climats that can complement the name of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation with the "Premier Cru" designation. Its name preserves the memory of the stone piles formed during the clearing of stones and ancient maintenance of the vines; no specific historical chronology for the climat was found in the consulted sources.
