Histoire du domaine
Château Monbrun was run by the Dubois family, a winemaking family established in the Libournais region for several generations. In 2016, Martin Krajewski, already co-owner of Clos Cantenac in Saint-Émilion, acquired this small Pomerol property from the Dubois family. The 2016 harvest was still carried out by the selling family, as the transaction was concluded without any wine stock. Martin and his daughter Charlotte Krajewski subsequently united the vineyards and buildings of Château Monbrun and Clos Picassou; in 2017, the combined estate took the name Château Séraphine, chosen as a tribute to Martin Krajewski's grandmother. Charlotte Krajewski, an oenologist trained at Plumpton College with experience in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and France, now oversees technical management and winemaking for both Château Séraphine and Clos Cantenac. Château Monbrun is therefore no longer an estate marketed separately under its former name.
