Château Laroque 1982 Bottle (75cl) VSD
Château Laroque 1982 is a Saint-Émilion red wine from Bordeaux, produced by Château Laroque and classified as a Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion. Its blend combines 87% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate's vineyard is in a single parcel extending over a limestone plateau characteristic of Saint-Émilion, combined with layers of clay. This geological foundation serves as an essential benchmark for identifying the origin of this aged cuvée.

Histoire du domaine
The Laroque site is dominated by a 12th-century tower, the remains of a former stronghold that defended the western approaches to Saint-Émilion. The estate's winemaking vocation is documented from the 16th century onwards. Under the de Lavie family, the property reached nearly 270 hectares, and still comprised around 130 hectares during the Second Empire. In the 19th century, Maurice Dufaure de Rochefort refocused Laroque on viticulture; by the end of the century, its production reportedly reached 300,000 bottles per year. Phylloxera, the economic difficulties of the First World War, and the crisis of the 1930s subsequently caused a deep decline. The Beaumartin family acquired the property in 1935, when only six hectares of vines remained, and gradually undertook its restoration. Following the 1956 frost, new plantings accompanied the renaissance of the vineyard. Under the management of Bruno Sainson, in office from 1982 to 2014, Château Laroque regained recognition which led to its classification as a Grand Cru Classé in 1996. Xavier Beaumartin took charge of the property in 2004. David Suire assumed management from 2015, before Stanislas Droin, nephew of Xavier Beaumartin, succeeded him at the head of the family estate in 2018.
