Histoire du domaine
The first recorded mention of Château La Dominique dates back to the late 16th century. In 1618, Dominique Glenne gave his name to the estate. The property subsequently passed to the Baillencourt family, who also owned Château Gazin. Château La Dominique was included amongst the Grands Crus Classés when the Saint-Émilion classification was established in 1955. Clément Fayat acquired the estate in 1969; the vineyard was then rebuilt and underwent a series of improvements. The Fayat family has owned the estate ever since, with Jean-Claude Fayat as the current owner. A new winery designed by the architect Jean Nouvel was inaugurated in 2014. Gwendeline Lucas is the managing director, Yann Monties is the technical director and Romain Sapet is the cellar master.
