Château Guerry 1989 Bottle (75cl)
Château Guerry 1989 is a red wine from the Côtes-de-Bourg appellation in Bordeaux, produced by Château Guerry, which was then owned by Bernard Magrez. Its blend combines 55% Merlot, 20% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc. The vineyards of this cuvée cover approximately 18.5 contiguous hectares in Saint-Genès-de-Blaye, on clay-limestone slopes. This composition pairs the right-bank Bordeaux grape varieties with a significant proportion of Malbec.

Histoire du domaine
The estate and its manor house date back to 1790 according to several sources dedicated to Château Guerry, which present it as one of the oldest growths in the Bourgeais. In 1972, the property was acquired by Bertrand de Rivoyre, a Bordeaux wine merchant and former buyer for Maison Nicolas. Following his passing, Claudie de Rivoyre managed the estate, which was then reported to cover 22 hectares. Bernard Magrez subsequently acquired Château Guerry in 2004 and farmed a vineyard of approximately 19 hectares. In May 2016, Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba, simultaneously purchased Château Guerry and Château Pérenne from Bernard Magrez for a reported total amount of approximately 11.8 million euros. Château Guerry is now presented by the Syndicat des Côtes de Bourg under the corporate name SCE du Château Pérenne; this interprofessional source indicates a current total surface area of 18.5 hectares.
