Château Gazin 2003
Château Gazin 2003 is a Pomerol red wine from Bordeaux, produced by Château Gazin. It blends 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. The Wine Advocate awards it 87/100 and Jancis Robinson 15/20. Critics evoke a profile of red and black fruits, cedar and mocha, with a full-bodied substance yet a finish that can prove dry and firm. Jancis Robinson indicated a drinking window from 2009 to 2014.

Histoire du domaine
The Château Gazin website is presented as a former estate of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem, linked to the Order of Malta. The vineyard is situated on the Pomerol plateau, in the upper part of the appellation. Louis Soualle acquired Château Gazin in 1918. The estate has remained in the hands of his descendants, the de Bailliencourt family, also known as Courcol, ever since. Inès, Laure, Nicolas and Christophe de Bailliencourt represented the fourth generation at the helm of the estate. Since 2023, Élise and Édouard de Bailliencourt have jointly managed the château. Mickaël Obert serves as vineyard manager. Rémy Beauché is the estate’s cellar master and is directly responsible for winemaking.
