Histoire du domaine
Château Corbin Michotte originates from an ancient estate in the Corbin area, described by the estate’s sources as having originated from a former feudal estate linked to the Black Prince. Jean-Noël Boidron, then a professor at the Bordeaux Institute of Oenology, acquired the château and its vineyard in 1959. The 19th-century buildings, which were in poor condition at the time, were gradually restored following this acquisition. A new wine cellar was built in 1980. The cellars were subsequently rebuilt in 2012. The Corbin Michotte vineyard covers 7 hectares on soils comprising, in particular, sand, silt, silica and iron oxide, on the edge of Pomerol. Jean-Noël Boidron passed away on 7 September 2023. The estate remains in the hands of the Boidron family; Hubert Boidron is responsible for production and winemaking, whilst Emmanuel Boidron is now listed as co-owner and contact for the estate.
