Histoire du domaine
The name Clinet has been recorded for this Pomerol vineyard since at least 1595, making it one of the appellation’s historic wine-growing estates. In 1825, the estate passed to the Arnaud family, who at that time also owned Petrus. In the 20th century, the estate was associated with the Audy family. In the 1980s, Jean-Michel Arcaute, Georges Audy’s son-in-law and director of the estate, introduced practices that were innovative at the time, notably green harvesting and the pursuit of greater ripeness. After a period under the ownership of the GAN insurance group, the estate was acquired in 1999 by Jean-Louis Laborde. His son, Ronan Laborde, subsequently took over the management in the early 2000s, alongside his wife Monique. This period was marked by replanting, the development of environmentally friendly practices and the modernisation of the winemaking facilities. Today, the estate remains in the Laborde family; Luc Chasseriau is in charge of technical management.
