Histoire du domaine
Château Bellisle Mondotte was acquired in 1953 by Frézal Escure and his wife Amélie, who at the time were also the owners of Château Grand Pey Lescours. Following the death of Frézal Escure in 1957, their son Pierre took over the management of both estates. Micheline Escure, Pierre’s wife, succeeded him in 1989. Since 1999, their daughter Françoise Escure has been running the family estates, representing the third generation. Bellisle Mondotte is situated in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, on the clay-limestone slopes to the east of Saint-Émilion. The vineyard, covering an area of 3.5 hectares, has been certified as organic since 2014 according to the Guide Hachette. Winemaking is overseen by Jean-Marie Bouldy.
