Histoire du domaine
Château Beauséjour is situated in Saint-Émilion, on a vineyard comprising plateau and hillside plots set on clay-limestone soils. The estate came into the possession of the Duffau-Lagarrosse family in 1847. It has been listed amongst the Premiers Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Émilion since the original classification of 1955. After having been passed down within the Duffau-Lagarrosse family for over 170 years, it changed ownership in April 2021. The Courtin-Clarins family then acquired the estate alongside Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse, a representative of the ninth generation of the family and a minority shareholder. Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse oversees production and winemaking, supported by consultant oenologists Axel Marchal and Julien Viaud. The winery was renovated following the change of ownership, with an increase in the number of concrete vats to enhance plot-by-plot winemaking.
