Champagne Agrapart Mineral 2004 Bouteille (75cl)
The 2004 Champagne Agrapart et Fils Minéral is a white sparkling Grand Cru Champagne crafted exclusively from Chardonnay. Offered as an extra-brut, this vintage cuvée originates from a selection of Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs. Vinification combines stainless-steel tanks and partial oak ageing without filtration, preserving the wine's precision and the pure expression of Chardonnay. The 2004 vintage benefited from extended aging on the lees prior to disgorgement.

Agrapart et Fils
Champagne Agrapart et Fils, now known as Champagne Pascal Agrapart, is a family-run estate run by a ‘récoltant-manipulant’ based in Avize, on the Côte des Blancs. Its 12-hectare vineyard is mainly planted with Chardonnay in the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oiry and Oger, with viticultural practices centred on soil management and on-estate winemaking.

Histoire du domaine
The estate was founded in Avize in 1894 by Arthur Agrapart, who was already a winegrower and winemaker. Its development was hampered during the first half of the 20th century, particularly by the consequences of the First World War. In the 1950s and 1960s, Pierre Agrapart, the founder’s grandson and Pascal’s father, restored the estate to working order and gradually expanded the vineyard by purchasing plots of land. Pascal Agrapart joined the estate in 1980 and took over its management in the mid-1980s. From the late 1980s onwards, he shifted the vineyard management towards an approach free from synthetic herbicides and pesticides, based in particular on ploughing and compost. At the same time, the estate developed a system of vinifying each plot separately in order to distinguish the origins of its grapes. Ambroise Agrapart, Pascal’s son, joined the estate in 2018 and now works alongside his father in the vineyard and the cellar. The estate is now listed under Ambroise Agrapart’s name by *La Revue du vin de France*, whilst the estate’s communications refer to Pascal and Ambroise Agrapart as owner-growers-winemakers.
Minéral
Minéral is a vintage Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne, crafted exclusively from Chardonnay. The cuvée blends selections from Champbouton in Avize and Les Bionnes in Cramant, two plots characterized by thin soils over chalk. Within the range, it stands out for its straight, taut, precise, and chalky expression.
- Origin of the cuvée name
- The name refers to the chalky and mineral expression sought in the highly calcareous soils of the selected plots.
- Cuvée creation year
- 1995
- Style of the cuvée
- Taut, precise, and savory Blanc de Blancs, marked by chalk, freshness, finesse, and a linear structure rather than power.
- Position within the range
- High-end vintage cuvée, representing the chalky and taut expression of the Grand Cru terroirs of Avize and Cramant.
Histoire de la cuvée
Pascal Agrapart states that he began producing Minéral in 1995 to isolate the expression of particularly chalky terroirs, in contrast to the more clayey soils associated with L’Avizoise. The cuvée has since become a permanent fixture in the estate's range of vintage champagnes.
