Domaine Anne Boisson
Anne Boisson is a winemaker from Meursault, in the Côte de Beaune. She cultivates 1.5 hectares from the family vineyard, which was formerly marketed under the name Boisson-Vadot. Histoire du domaine
The Boisson family has long been established in Meursault. Bernard Boisson developed the family vineyard from the early 1980s onwards, gradually planting and acquiring plots in the Côte de Beaune. The estate was then known as Boisson-Vadot, a name derived from Bernard Boisson and his wife, née Vadot. The handover to their children, Anne and Pierre Boisson, began in 2017. The vineyards have been divided between the Anne Boisson and Pierre Boisson labels, whilst the former Bernard Boisson-Vadot label is no longer used for new vintages. Anne Boisson cultivates a 1.5-hectare plot, comprising, in particular, plots of Meursault and a Bourgogne Aligoté. All the wines are vinified in the family cellar in Meursault by Pierre Boisson.
Murgey De Limozin
Murgey de Limozin is a climat and cadastral lieu-dit in the commune of Meursault, attested by archives and located in section AZ of the current cadastre. Despite its nominal proximity to Le Limozin, it constitutes a distinct entity and its documented wines fall under the regional Bourgogne appellation, not Meursault Premier Cru. Vine plots at the site are planted with Chardonnay on limestone-rich clay-limestone soils. An altitude of 250 meters is published for a producer's plot, but it does not establish with certainty the altitudinal range of the entire climat.
- Vineyard commune
- Meursault
- Origin of the vineyard name
- "Murgey" locally designates a murger, meaning a pile of stones removed from cultivated land; the suffix "de Limozin" indicates its proximity to the Le Limozin climat.
- Soil
- Clay-limestone soils rich in limestone
Histoire de la parcelle
Maps of Meursault climats produced at the end of the 19th century from the Napoleonic cadastre explicitly mention Murgey de Limozin; they are kept in the departmental archives of Côte-d’Or under the reference 1 J0 483. The name remains used in the contemporary cadastre, notably in section AZ, as well as for wines marketed under the AOC Bourgogne.
