Les Horées Bourgogne Blanc Aganippe Bottle (75cl)
Les Horées Aganippe is a non-mintage white Burgundy crafted in Burgundy by Les Horées. This cuvée is 100% Chardonnay. The grapes come from vines farmed under uncertified organic and biodynamic practices. Vinification relies on native yeast fermentation, followed by complete malolactic fermentation; the wine is then aged for ten months in previously used barrels, with a minimal addition of sulfur prior to bottling.

Les Horées
Les Horées is a Burgundian wine estate and micro-negociant founded by Catharina and Guilhem Sadde, based in Beaune. Catharina Sadde manages the vineyards and winemaking using an uncertified organic and biodynamic approach, featuring native yeast fermentations, measured use of sulfur, and a variable proportion of whole clusters for the reds. The estate works its own parcels and completes its range with grapes purchased from long-term partner growers.

Histoire du domaine
Of German origin and initially trained as a chef, Catharina Sadde turned to wine after a harvest experience in the Nahe region. She studied viticulture and oenology in Geisenheim and Montpellier, then trained at several Burgundian estates, notably Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Comte Armand, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Marquis d'Angerville, and Cécile Tremblay. She met Guilhem Sadde, then an auctioneer, in 2010 during an internship at Pablo Chevrot. The couple founded Les Horées in 2019 and produced their first vintage that year, representing around 7,000 bottles. Initially located in rented premises in Pommard, the estate later transferred its production to a larger winery in Beaune. The project combines winegrowing ownership and micro-negociant activity: Catharina Sadde recently stated that she farms 4.1 hectares and has established lasting relationships with several grape suppliers. The name Les Horées refers to the Horae of Greek mythology, deities associated with the rhythm and changing of the seasons.
Aganippe
Aganippe is a white Chardonnay Bourgogne crafted from purchased grapes, initially sourced from the southern part of the commune of Meursault, near Puligny-Montrachet. Vinification relies on native yeasts, aging in used barrels, and a minimal addition of sulfur. It constitutes a distinct and named reference within the range of white wines from Les Horées.
- Origin of the cuvée name
- In Greek mythology, Aganippe is the source of inspiration where the goddesses of the seasons, the Horae, drink.
- Cuvée creation year
- 2020
- Style of the cuvée
- Bourgogne blanc seeking freshness, tension, and finesse, with a mineral expression and subtle oak aging thanks to the use of neutral barrels.
- Position within the range
- Named regional Bourgogne blanc, positioned before the white wines of the Côte de Beaune and Puligny-Montrachet appellations.
Histoire de la cuvée
The cuvée is documented starting from 2020 with Chardonnay cultivated by a partner winegrower. The first vintages came from the south of Meursault, while the estate was preparing its own Chardonnay plantings in Pommard and Puligny.
