Domaine Isabelle Suire Saumur Rosé 2024 Bouteille (75cl)
The 2024 Domaine Isabelle Suire Saumur Rosé is a still rosé wine from the Saumur appellation, produced in the Loire by Isabelle Suire. It comes from a 16-hectare estate located south of the Loire in the Saumur vineyards. The estate's vines rest on slopes combining clayey sand and white tuffeau chalk. The property notably cultivates Cabernet Franc, the emblematic grape variety of its vineyards. The Saumur Rosé appellation brings together fruity and harmonious wines marked by Loire freshness.

Isabelle Suire
In Berrie, south of the Saumur vineyards, Isabelle Suire runs a 17-hectare family estate planted with Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. The wines, notably from the Saumur, Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame, Coteaux-de-Saumur, and Crémant-de-Loire appellations, are vinified and aged in natural cellars carved into tuffeau limestone.

Histoire du domaine
Isabelle Suire represents the fourth generation of this family estate. Her great-grandfather already worked in the vineyards in Berrie, but the estate truly took shape when her grandfather married her grandmother, whose family owned vines on a mixed-farming estate combining livestock and cereals. The family subsequently gradually abandoned other agricultural activities to focus on viticulture. After earning a master's degree in chemistry and a DESS postgraduate degree in agri-food science, Isabelle Suire began her career in the agri-food industry in Beaune, where she developed her interest in wine, and then completed professional training in viticulture. The Guide Hachette indicates that she has been running the estate since 2006, while other professional sources place the takeover of her parents' estate in 2007. She later served as president of the AOC Saumur Blanc union. A transition to organic farming was initiated in 2023, although acquired certification cannot be confirmed by the sources consulted.
