Histoire du domaine
The Schueller family is presented as coming from a lineage of farmers established in the region since the 16th century. Gérard Schueller founded the modern wine estate in 1958 in Husseren-les-Châteaux. Following his oenological training, his son Bruno joined the estate in 1982 and took charge of vinification, while Gérard mainly dedicated himself to the vineyards. Bruno then progressively took over the family estate and developed his personal approach to the great terroirs of Eichberg, Pfersigberg, and Bildstœcklé. Legal documents of the EARL record, in 2015, a transfer of shares from Gérard and his wife to Bruno Schueller; he has been registered as the manager of EARL Gérard Schueller et Fils since February 19, 2019. Current bottle production is not published in a sufficiently recent and reliable manner; a past profile from the Revue du vin de France indicated 48,000 bottles per year for seven hectares, historical figures that no longer appear representative of the current area of ten hectares.
