The 2008 Dominio de Pingus Flor de Pingus is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero appellation in Castile and León, crafted by Dominio de Pingus. This Flor de Pingus cuvée received 17/20 from Jancis Robinson and 91/100 from James Suckling. Jancis Robinson describes a dense wine, driven by dark fruit, a fresh acidity, and fine, silky-textured tannins, with a toasted oak imprint. Its drinking window was indicated as 2011 to 2016 by Jancis Robinson.

A wine with lots of dried fruit, flower and smoky undertones. Raisin too. Full-bodied round and chewy. Drink now.

Barrel sample. Evidence of the 60% new oak in the sweet toasty oak aromas. Bright dark fruit, sweet but not overripe damson, quite dense, and very fine-grained tannins – silky but you can still feel the grain at this stage. Fresh acidity – cooler vintage.
