Domaine Hubert Lamy Saint Aubin - Clos du Meix - 1er Cru 2023 Bottle (75cl)
The Domaine Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos du Meix 2023 is a white Burgundy wine made from 100% Chardonnay, produced in the Saint-Aubin appellation. This cuvée comes from a 0.7-hectare walled plot located at an altitude of 300 metres, planted on clay-limestone soils rich in small stones; the vines were planted here in 1985 and 1995. The 2023 vintage was fermented in French oak barrels, then aged for 24 months on its fine lees, with no battonage or addition of sulfur before racking.

Histoire du domaine
The Lamy family has been established in the Saint-Aubin vineyards since 1640. Hubert Lamy founded the estate under his own name in 1973. In the 1990s, the estate expanded through the purchase, lease and planting of new plots. Some of the vines were then replanted with Chardonnay in areas considered more favourable to this grape variety. Olivier Lamy joined the family estate in 1995, after studying oenology and gaining experience at other estates. He now runs the estate with his wife Karine, who is responsible for management, marketing and accounts. The vineyard now covers 18.5 hectares, mainly in Saint-Aubin, with plots also located in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay. Olivier Lamy oversees the vineyard work and winemaking, with each plot being vinified and then matured separately. Both the white and red wines are bottled after 24 months’ ageing, depending on the estate’s website.
Clos du Meix (Saint Aubin)
Clos du Meix is a small walled lieu-dit located on the edge of the village of Saint-Aubin, at the foot of the slope, below Les Castets and Derrière Chez Edouard. It falls within the perimeter of the "Village" climat, which is officially recognized among the climats of Saint-Aubin Premier Cru; "Clos du Meix" itself does not appear in the regulatory list of claimable climat names. The site features a reported slope of approximately 30%, thin silty-clay and stony soils resting on hard limestone. Professional sources describe a south-easterly orientation.

Histoire de la parcelle
The Saint-Aubin appellation was recognized on July 31, 1937. The regulatory sources consulted list "Village" among the climats classified as premier cru, but do not provide a specific history for the lieu-dit Clos du Meix; its attachment to "Village" is documented by a specialized professional source.
