Histoire du domaine
The history of Labégorce dates back to at least 1332, when the lands of the noble house of La Bégorce were first mentioned. The historic estate was divided at the end of the 18th century into several parts, including Labégorce, Labégorce-Zédé and L’Abbé Gorsse de Gorsse. The current château, built in the neoclassical style, is situated in the heart of the Margaux vineyards. Hubert Perrodo acquired Château Labégorce in 1989. The Perrodo family then gradually reunited the various parts of the former estate; the merger with Labégorce-Zédé took effect from the 2009 vintage. Following the death of Hubert Perrodo in 2006, his daughter Nathalie Perrodo took over responsibility for the family estates. She is now recognised as the owner of Château Labégorce. Marjolaine Maurice de Coninck is in charge of general management, whilst Fabien Raymond is listed as the estate’s technical director.
