Histoire du domaine
The name Cos Labory combines the Cos hill with the surname of François Labory, owner of the estate until 1845. The wine traces its origins to the late 18th century, when it was known as Cos Gaston. It became part of Louis-Gaspard d’Estournel’s estate in 1847. Classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 classification, Cos Labory was subsequently sold by Charles Martyns to Louis Peychaud in 1860, bringing to an end its initial period of association with Cos d’Estournel. George Weber acquired the estate in the 1930s. In 1959, it was passed on to his daughter Cécile and her husband François Audoy. Their son Bernard Audoy subsequently managed the estate for several decades. In 2023, the Audoy family sold Cos Labory to Michel Reybier, who already owned Cos d’Estournel. Angélique Vigouroux is now in charge of the technical management of winemaking.
