Château La Mission Haut-Brion owes its name and reputation to the priests of the Congrégation de la Mission, who owned it from 1682 to the Revolution. La Mission Haut-Brion passed through several owners until 1983, when the Clarence Dillon estate, already owner of Château Haut-Brion, acquired the terroir. Today, Clarence Dillon cultivates 26 ha 60 of this enchanting Graves Grand Cru Classé. Part of the Pessac - Léognan appellation, it is located in Talence, just outside Bordeaux, and produces around 70,800 bottles of wine a year, enough to satisfy a large number of wine lovers. The wines of La Mission Haut-Brion are renowned for their sometimes daring and very authentic vinification. The nose is intense and open, with notes of black cherry, blackberry and spice. A fruity, juicy, full-bodied and flavorful wine.
As for Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc de Pessac-Léognan, with a very limited production, is cultivated on 2 ha 55 of vineyards with nearly 84% Semillon and 16% Sauvignon. This dry wine expresses all the characteristics of a great Graves sweet wine. An unctuous wine with rich aromas, its notes of acacia and honey appeal to a wide range of white wine lovers.
