Histoire du domaine
The Boisson family has long been established in Meursault. Bernard Boisson developed the family vineyard from the early 1980s onwards, gradually planting and acquiring plots in the Côte de Beaune. The estate was then known as Boisson-Vadot, a name derived from Bernard Boisson and his wife, née Vadot. The handover to their children, Anne and Pierre Boisson, began in 2017. The vineyards have been divided between the Anne Boisson and Pierre Boisson labels, whilst the former Bernard Boisson-Vadot label is no longer used for new vintages. Anne Boisson cultivates a 1.5-hectare plot, comprising, in particular, plots of Meursault and a Bourgogne Aligoté. All the wines are vinified in the family cellar in Meursault by Pierre Boisson.
Les Vaux
Les Vaux is a winegrowing lieu-dit located in the commune of Meursault, identified in particular by producer and professional sources for wines under the regional Bourgogne appellation. One professional source locates the sector towards Volnay and describes silty soils rich in clay, with alluvial limestone deposits. Les Vaux does not appear on the official list of Premier Cru classified climats in Beaune: the "Beaune Premier Cru" context provided in the database likely results from a misattribution, possibly a confusion with Les Avaux or Clos des Avaux.
