Histoire du domaine
The Roulot family has been based in Meursault since the late 18th century. The estate, in its modern form, developed primarily from the 1950s onwards under the leadership of Guy Roulot, born in 1929. His marriage to Geneviève Coche coincided with the expansion of the family’s wine-growing estate. Guy Roulot played a key role in promoting the separate bottling of wines from several ‘lieux-dits’ in Meursault. Following his death in 1982, the estate was temporarily managed by a succession of winemakers. His son Jean-Marc Roulot, who was then pursuing a career as an actor in Paris, finally took over the estate in January 1989. He continued to expand the vineyard and converted the vines to organic farming from 1999 onwards. The estate is now run by Jean-Marc Roulot, with Éric Bodin as cellar master and head of winemaking at his side.
Tesson (Clos de mon Plaisir)
Le Tesson is a lieu-dit within the Meursault appellation, officially listed among the vineyards not classified as Premier Cru. Located above the village and facing east, it brings together several small enclosed plots, notably Clos de Mon Plaisir, Clos du Tesson, and Clos du Haut Tesson. Available descriptions report a reddish, lean, and stony soil over a clay-limestone substrate. Clos de Mon Plaisir constitutes a part of this lieu-dit and must not be confused with an officially classified Premier Cru climat.

Histoire de la parcelle
The Tesson sector has preserved several walled enclosures with gates and grilles associated with former pleasure properties. Clos de Mon Plaisir was acquired as wasteland by Guy Roulot in 1956, then planted mainly in 1959 and 1961. This history concerns the plot farmed by the estate within the lieu-dit, while Le Tesson remains a winegrowing area shared among multiple owners.
