Histoire du domaine
The family has been established in Vosne-Romanée since the late 18th century. The estate was truly developed between 1935 and 1955 by Joseph Brosson, Bruno Clavelier's maternal grandfather, though the harvest at that time was still sold in barrels to négociants, notably to Maison Clavelier in Comblanchien. This house had been created in 1935 by Antoine Clavelier, Bruno's paternal grandfather, and then taken over in 1978 by his sons Jean, Gérard, and André. Sold in 1991, it has since had no connection with the family estate of Vosne-Romanée. With a degree in oenology from Dijon, Bruno Clavelier took over the operation in 1987, supported during his early years by his grandfather Joseph and his father André. Starting in 1992, he bottled the entire harvest under his own name. His wife Valérie officially joined the estate in 2003. The couple progressively developed the operation by adding new parcels and building a vathouse, aging cellars, storage, and bottling facilities, bringing the vineyard to 6.5 hectares.
La Combe d'Orveau
La Combe d'Orveau is a climat located at the southern tip of the Chambolle-Musigny vineyard, bordering Vosne-Romanée and in the immediate vicinity of Musigny and Échezeaux. The lieu-dit is divided between several appellation levels: only a portion is officially recognized as Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru, while another portion notably falls under the Musigny Grand Cru. The Premier Cru section is described as facing east, on terrain combining limestone and white marl.

Histoire de la parcelle
A 1929 court ruling established an initial parcel-by-parcel delimitation of Chambolle-Musigny wines, and the Chambolle-Musigny AOC was subsequently recognized by the decree of September 11, 1936. The specific area qualifying for the "premier cru" designation was approved by the INAO on June 1 and 2, 1988; the official product specification lists La Combe d'Orveau among the climats concerned, specifying that the lieu-dit is only partially classified.
