Domaine Laurent Roumier
Domaine Laurent Roumier is a family-run estate based in Chambolle-Musigny, in the Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1991 by Laurent Roumier, grandson of Georges Roumier, it cultivates around 12 hectares spread across the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny, Bonnes-Mares and Clos de Vougeot appellations. Laurent Roumier personally oversees the vineyard work and the winemaking process.

Histoire du domaine
Laurent Roumier comes from the Roumier family of winegrowers in Chambolle-Musigny: his grandfather, Georges Roumier, founded Domaine Georges Roumier in 1924. His father, Alain Roumier, was cellar master at Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé for nearly three decades. After working alongside his brother, Laurent Roumier established his own estate in 1991. The estate began with four hectares of vines leased from the Roumier family. During the 1990s, he acquired six hectares in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, before gradually expanding his vineyard through purchases in Chambolle-Musigny. The Clos de Vougeot plot was transferred to Laurent Roumier in 1997, whilst the estate also retained a plot in Bonnes-Mares from the family’s heritage. The vineyard now covers approximately 12 hectares and comprises plots in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny, Bonnes-Mares and Clos de Vougeot. The EARL Domaine Laurent Roumier, based in Chambolle-Musigny, is managed by Laurent Roumier, who also oversees the winemaking process.
