Weingut Keller
Located in Flörsheim-Dalsheim, in Rheinhessen, Weingut Keller is a family-owned estate particularly renowned for its dry Rieslings from great limestone terroirs, including Dalsheimer Hubacker, Morstein, and Kirchspiel. Julia and Klaus Peter Keller currently run this 29.9-hectare property, where Felix Keller also participates in winemaking. The G-Max cuvée represents the estate's rarest and most iconic expression.

Histoire du domaine
The Keller family has been cultivating vines in Flörsheim-Dalsheim since 1789, and the estate boasts ten generations of winemakers. After studying in Geisenheim and gaining professional experience notably in Burgundy and South Africa, Klaus Peter Keller took primary responsibility for the vineyards and cellar starting with the 2000 vintage. He then fully took over the family property with his wife Julia in 2006, succeeding his father Klaus Keller. A member of the VDP since 2000, the estate has gradually expanded its holdings beyond its historical terroirs in the Wonnegau, notably towards the slopes of the Roter Hang in Nierstein and the Mosel. The new generation is now involved in the estate's operations: Felix Keller is officially listed as cellar master alongside his father.
G Max
G-Max is a dry Riesling produced in very limited quantities from old vines in a single parcel whose location the estate keeps secret. Marketed under a proper name without a place name, it is not classified as VDP.GROSSES GEWÄCHS. Its concentration, precision, and ageing potential place it at the very top of the estate's production.
- Origin of the cuvée name
- The "G" pays tribute to Georg Keller, great-grandfather of Klaus Peter Keller and pioneer of family bottling; "Max" refers to his son Maximilian.
- Cuvée creation year
- 2001
- Style of the cuvée
- A concentrated dry Riesling without heaviness, characterized by great precision, strong energy, a complex texture, and significant ageing potential.
- Position within the range
- Iconic cuvée and prestige wine positioned at the absolute top of the estate's dry Riesling range.
Histoire de la cuvée
The first documented commercial vintage is 2001. Initially conceived as a family reserve associated with the birth of Maximilian, the wine sparked the interest of wine lovers to whom the family had offered a taste, leading to its release in very limited volumes.
