Histoire du domaine
Originally from Meursault, Pierre Maizière settled in Beaune in 1969, where he developed a fine wine trading business. The estate notes that the Maizière family's presence in Burgundy dates back to the 12th century, the era of the founding of the Cistercian Abbey of Maizières. The family business is now run by his children, Anne and Pascal, both born in Beaune. Pascal holds a degree in oenology and handles the viticultural side; Anne, with over twenty-five years of experience in the wine trade, takes charge of commercial operations. Pierre Maizière remains associated with the history and oversight of the house. The company bearing the name Pierre Maizière, located at 16 rue Charles-Cloutier in Beaune, is currently chaired by Anne Maizière.
